You can prevent PhraseExpander from detecting typed keystrokes in specific applications.
To ignore abbreviation, shortcuts and autocorrects in the current application
1.Right-click on the gear icon 
in the Suggestions window
2.Click on Ignore this application
PhraseExpander will add the application to the ignore list
To edit the list of all excluded applications, check the Options, Advanced window
