Use this macro to open a website in the default (or specified) browser.

Syntax

 

{#url website -[browser]#}

website: address of the website (http:// can be omitted)

browser: browser to use to open the website (if not specified, it uses the default browser)

 

Example

Template:

{#url https://www.uptodate.com/contents/uncomplicated-acute-sinusitis-and-rhinosinusitis-in-adults-treatment#}

 

Result:

opens the https://www.uptodate.com/contents/uncomplicated-acute-sinusitis-and-rhinosinusitis-in-adults-treatment website in the default browser

 

Template:

{#url https://www.uptodate.com/contents/initial-management-of-blood-glucose-in-adults-with-type-2-diabetes-mellitus -[browser=Google Chrome]#}

 

Result:

opens the https://www.uptodate.com/contents/initial-management-of-blood-glucose-in-adults-with-type-2-diabetes-mellitus website using Google Chrome browser
